Neuroscience for Dummies

One of the most complicated subjects in the world is the complex anatomy of the brain. It is the key to living, understanding, and everything we do. But as we research more, it has become more advanced than ever. In this post, the basics will be broken down that way a guide to an advanced topic is there for anyone to see.

The parts of the brain:

(The parts of the brain do not exist in different colors)

The lobes are divided this way because of the functions they have. For example, the prefrontal lobe is responsible for memory, motivation, and many other daily tasks. The occipital lobe controls your sight! (There are many different posts, so maybe I will make a post on the parts)

Another important part of the brain is CSF. (cerebrospinal fluid) It is surrounding your brain, and removes wastes from the brain cells. A fun fact, 99% of CSF is just water!

Neurological Disorders:

Talking about the brain, I feel that it is an important part to talk about these kind of things.

ADHD: The main part of this disorder is that it can affect a child's attention span. They can also be hyperactive. Even though it can be a common part of childhood, some people live with this. Although with all of this, there is a way to help with it! behavioral therapy medications can help a ton. It mainly involves a therapist trying to understand the main parts of a person's behaviors.

Dementia: Forgetting your things time to time may be common for you, but for a certain group of people, (60-70 years old) this is a common thing. Sometimes it includes memory loss , difficulty concentrating, and more. (Please note that this is a super basic summary, and there is a lot more into Dementia.)

Outro:

Thank you so much for listening! I almost forgot, Happy 2022! What do you plan for doing for the New Year? Anyways, stay beyond the limit!!!!!!

Bibliography will be posted shortly.
