Mars is where the cold night is!

UPDATE: I looked and looked, but there is a problem. The Fermi paradox is just a paradox with no answer. There is no answer to it, so I covered what I needed. Unlike a moon base, there is no answer that can be written into words.

Mars Mars, I love it so much! Let's build a base. Hope you’ve got your rocket ship because we are going to mars and building a home!

Let's skip ahead: Let me make this clear. I do not want to do a mars base.; What are the problems that we will face post. I want to show you how we can build it. Thats fun. Lets GO!

Good News People!: Like last time, we already know about mars. We have already marked out the planet and found places we can live. But maybe we do need a few more missions. For this post let's just say that we know where we want to go. And let's pretend that we have a moon base to take off from. Ok! off our to-do list. Let's go on over to phase two.

A fresh breath, oh wait thats mars dust: We can’t do any good if there is no air to breath. Mars's atmosphere is mostly made of Carbon Dioxide. Ok, so let's find another way. This other way is making our own atmosphere with high pressure. To make sure the mini base can take all of that, we need round walls. This will make sure the hab is strong.

What will we use?: First, solar power will not do. The energy on mars is just too low. The only way to start is to use nuclear fuel from earth. The radiation from mars is too hard to get. This will not be forever, but will do better than the other ways.

Radiation problems: The radiation from mars is super bad for astronauts. Only three years on mars is way over the limit for NASA astronauts for their whole life as an astronaut. To stop this, we can cover our base in Frozen CO2. This can be acquired from mars's atmosphere. Then a layer of rocks on top of it.

Robot helpers: Now, the inside of the hab is safe, but the outside is not. To fix this, remote controlled robots can be used. The astronauts will stay on the outside. IMPORTANT NOTE: A base is different from a short trip. What we will first be doing is going on a short trip. Then we can work on our base.

No Gravity: Astronauts will have a lot less gravity than they should have. This will cause a lot of problems. Maybe in the future, we will build rotating bases; but for now we need a lot of exercise. We will also need to rotate because we will be stuck in one place for a super long time.

Anything else?: Yes! One last thing. Water is easy to get if we live near the poles of the planet. But, we need food. Growing plants on mars is such a different story that it needs its own paragraph.

Alien Food on hold: Mars soil is full of things plants don’t need like, Ph 8 - 9. It lacks nitrogen for the plants. To do this, we need to clean up the soil, which means then using waste to grow it, then waiting for super long. Astronauts can not go that long without food.

Aquaponics: Instead of that, we can use Aquaponics to grow over food. It will take less time and be a little bit cheaper. That sounds good. I think that's it. I just showed you how to build a mars base. Now, let's do it!
